Main effect
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006920
The independent effect of a single factor or variable on a response in an experimental design, averaged across all levels of other factors. It quantifies how changing the level of one factor influences the outcome, without considering interactions with other variables. This contrasts with interaction effects, which describe how the effect of one factor depends on the level of another.
