Common factor analysis

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002280

A statistical method used to identify underlying, unobservable factors that explain the correlations among a set of observed variables. It assumes that observed variables are influenced by both common factors and unique factors specific to each variable. This technique aims to reduce the dimensionality of data and uncover latent structures, often applied in chemometrics for pattern recognition.
