Fractional-factorial design
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004632
An experimental design that uses a selected subset of the runs from a full factorial design. This approach is used when the number of factors to be investigated is large, making a full design impractical due to the high number of required experiments. A key characteristic of this design is the confounding or aliasing of effects, where main effects become indistinguishable from certain higher-order interactions.
