Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000460

A mid-level atmospheric cloud characterized by a grayish or bluish sheet or layer of uniform or fibrous appearance. These clouds are of sufficient translucence to reveal the sun or moon as if viewed through ground glass, a phenomenon known as watery sun.
