Average degree of polymerization

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001021

The average number of monomeric units in a polymer chain within a given sample. This value can be expressed as a number-average or weight-average, depending on the method of calculation. It is a key parameter influencing the physical properties of a polymer, such as its mechanical strength and viscosity.
