Catatonia

A complex neuropsychiatric syndrome characterized by abnormalities in movement and behavior, arising from a disturbed mental state. It can manifest as either motor immobility, such as stupor or waxy flexibility, or as excessive and purposeless motor activity. Associated features include mutism, negativism, posturing, and echolalia (repeating another's words) or echopraxia (repeating another's movements).
