Comparative glycoproteomics

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002293

A branch of glycoproteomics that focuses on identifying and quantifying differences in the glycosylation patterns of proteins between different biological states or samples. This approach involves analyzing the glycan structures attached to proteins and their sites of attachment. Techniques such as mass spectrometry are commonly employed to detect changes in glycosylation associated with disease or developmental processes.
