Glycan profiling
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004931
The systematic analysis and characterization of the glycan structures present in a biological sample. This involves isolating glycans, separating them by chromatographic or electrophoretic methods, and determining their structures using mass spectrometry or nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The resulting data provides insights into biological processes and disease states.
