Conceptual model

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002372

A written description and visual representation of the predicted relationships between ecological entities and the stressors to which they may be exposed. It outlines the exposure pathways, the receptors (species or habitats), the endpoints for assessment, and the connections between them. In ecotoxicology, this model forms the basis for developing the risk hypothesis and guiding the quantitative analysis in an ecological risk assessment.
