Copolymer isomorphism

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002571

The cocrystallization of the different comonomer units of a copolymer in one crystal lattice, which is possible when the units have similar shape and size and can replace one another with little distortion. Isomorphous copolymers crystallize over a broad span of composition, for example copolymers of vinylidene fluoride with trifluoroethylene.
