Isomorphous polymer co-crystal

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006208

A crystalline phase formed by two or more different polymers that can co-crystallize, meaning they share a similar crystal lattice structure and can substitute for each other within that lattice. This results in a single crystalline phase rather than separate crystalline domains for each polymer. The formation of such co-crystals influences the thermal and mechanical properties of the blend.
