Decontamination

The process of removing or neutralizing hazardous substances, such as chemical, biological, or radiological contaminants, from individuals, equipment, or environments. This procedure aims to reduce the risk of exposure and prevent the spread of harmful agents. Methods include physical removal, chemical inactivation, or biological degradation.
