Inactivation factor

A quantitative measure of the reduction in the number of viable microorganisms or the activity of a substance after a specific treatment. It is expressed as the ratio of the initial concentration or activity to the final concentration or activity. This factor is commonly used in sterilization processes to assess the effectiveness of disinfection or decontamination methods.
