Final energy state

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004429

The energy level or configuration of a system, such as an atom or molecule, after it has undergone a transition from an initial energy state. This state is reached after absorption or emission of energy, or after a chemical reaction. The difference in energy between the initial and final states corresponds to the energy exchanged during the process.
