Reaction path
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009968
The trajectory followed by a chemical system as it transforms from reactants to products, typically visualized on a potential energy surface. It represents the sequence of molecular geometries and energies that connect the initial and final states through a transition state. The minimum-energy reaction path corresponds to the most probable route.
