Trajectory

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012195

The path followed by a particle or a system of particles in space as a function of time, particularly in the context of molecular dynamics or reaction kinetics. This path is determined by the forces acting on the particles and their initial conditions. In chemical reactions, trajectories can be calculated on a potential energy surface.
