Angular distribution
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000603
The probability distribution of products or scattered particles as a function of their scattering angle relative to an incident beam. This concept is used in chemical kinetics and reaction dynamics to understand the geometry of molecular collisions and the mechanisms of chemical reactions. It provides insights into the forces acting between reacting species and the energy transfer during a collision.
