Reactive scattering
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009984
A technique used to study the dynamics of chemical reactions by observing the angular and velocity distributions of product molecules after a collision between reactant species. This method typically involves crossing two molecular beams in a vacuum chamber. The analysis of scattered products provides insights into the reaction mechanism and energy transfer.
