Neutron scattering analysis

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007922

A family of techniques that probe the structure and dynamics of materials by observing how neutrons interact with the sample. Neutrons can scatter elastically, providing structural information, or inelastically, revealing dynamic properties such as atomic vibrations. This method is complementary to X-ray scattering, offering unique insights due to the neutron's magnetic moment and interaction with atomic nuclei.
