Neutron energy

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007918

The kinetic energy possessed by a neutron, which determines its interaction characteristics with matter. Neutrons are classified into different energy ranges, such as thermal, epithermal, and fast neutrons, each having distinct applications in nuclear physics and analytical techniques. This energy is typically measured in electronvolts (eV).
