Intrinsic reaction coordinate
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006038
The minimum energy path connecting reactants to products through a transition state on a potential energy surface. This path is defined as the steepest descent path from the transition state in both forward and reverse directions. It provides a theoretical description of the reaction pathway in terms of atomic displacements.
