Reaction injection moulding
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009967
A manufacturing process where two or more low-viscosity liquid monomers or prepolymers are rapidly mixed and then injected into a mold, where they polymerize and solidify to form a finished part. This technique allows for the production of large, complex parts with relatively low clamping forces. Polyurethanes are frequently produced using this method.
