Flow injection mass spectrometry

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013112

A technique that couples flow injection analysis with mass spectrometry, where a sample is injected into a continuously flowing carrier stream and then introduced into a mass spectrometer. This method allows for rapid sample throughput and minimal sample preparation. It is often used for high-throughput screening and quantitative analysis of compounds.
