Flow injection enthalpimetry

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004498

An analytical technique where the enthalpy change of a chemical reaction is measured by injecting a discrete test portion into a continuously flowing, non-segmented carrier stream. The mixture passes through a detector, which records the temperature change resulting from the exothermic or endothermic process. This method is a form of calorimetry adapted to the principles of flow injection analysis.
