Flow analysis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004493
A category of automated analytical methods where a sample is introduced into a continuously moving carrier stream. Chemical reactions and measurements occur as the sample zone flows through a manifold towards a detector. The two main techniques are segmented flow analysis (SFA) and flow injection analysis (FIA).
