Segmented flow analysis

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010662

A method of continuous flow analysis where the sample stream is divided into discrete segments by the introduction of gas bubbles, typically air. Each segment acts as an individual reaction vessel, preventing dispersion and intermixing between samples. This technique is widely used in automated clinical and environmental laboratories.
