In-line extraction

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005877

An extraction procedure performed within a continuous flow of a fluid stream, without diverting the stream or collecting a discrete sample. The extraction device is integrated directly into the flow path, allowing for automated and continuous sample preparation prior to analysis. This method is frequently coupled directly to an analytical instrument, such as a chromatograph, for real-time monitoring of a process stream.
