Multicommutation flow extraction
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007624
A flow-based extraction technique that uses a network of solenoid-actuated micro-pumps or valves to precisely manage the insertion of sample and reagent plugs into a carrier stream. The system allows for independent software control over the timing and volume of each fluid segment, creating a highly flexible and automated process for sample preparation. This method is a form of programmable flow analysis specifically applied to liquid-liquid or solid-phase extraction.
