Exchange extraction
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004168
A type of liquid-liquid extraction where an ion in one phase is exchanged for another ion of the same charge in the other phase. This process typically involves an ion-exchange reagent that selectively binds to certain ions. It is widely used for the separation and preconcentration of metal ions from aqueous solutions.
