Scrubbing

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010603

A process used to remove gaseous pollutants or undesirable components from a gas stream by passing it through a liquid. The target substances are absorbed into the liquid, often with a chemical reaction, or physically dissolved. This technique is widely employed in industrial settings for air pollution control and gas purification.
