Cyclone collector

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002824

A device used to remove particulate matter from an air or gas stream through centrifugal force. The gas enters tangentially, creating a vortex that forces heavier particles to the outer wall, where they fall into a hopper. These collectors are commonly employed as pre-cleaners in industrial air pollution control systems.
