Thermal extraction
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011941
A separation technique that uses heat to remove analytes from a solid or liquid matrix. The sample is heated, causing volatile or semi-volatile compounds to vaporize and be carried away by a gas stream. This method is often employed for sample preparation in gas chromatography.
