Soft-segment phase domain

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010971

A distinct region within a block copolymer or segmented polymer where the more flexible, lower glass transition temperature segments aggregate. These domains contribute to the elastomeric properties of the material by providing elasticity and resilience. The size and distribution of these domains influence the overall mechanical performance of the polymer.
