Amorphous domain
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000503
A region within a semicrystalline polymer where the polymer chains lack long-range order and are randomly entangled. These domains exist alongside crystalline regions and contribute to the overall mechanical properties of the material. The glass transition temperature is a characteristic property of the amorphous domains.
