Discontinuous measuring cell

A component within an analytical instrument designed to hold a discrete sample for measurement. The sample is introduced into the cell, analyzed, and then replaced by a new sample for subsequent measurements. This setup is used in techniques where sample isolation is necessary, such as in spectrophotometry with cuvettes.
