Dysphagia

Difficulty in swallowing, which can involve problems with the oral, pharyngeal, or esophageal phases of the swallowing process. This condition can lead to choking, aspiration of food or liquids into the lungs, and malnutrition. It is often a symptom of underlying neurological disorders, structural abnormalities, or muscular dysfunction.
