Electromyography
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003702
A diagnostic technique that assesses the electrical activity produced by skeletal muscles. It involves inserting a needle electrode into a muscle or placing surface electrodes on the skin over a muscle to record electrical signals during muscle contraction and at rest. This method is used to detect neuromuscular abnormalities, such as nerve damage or muscle disorders.
