Fluence rate

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004511

The radiant power incident on a small sphere divided by the cross-sectional area of that sphere, expressed in units of W m⁻². It represents the rate at which radiant energy passes through a given area, considering all directions of incidence. This quantity is particularly relevant in photochemistry for describing the intensity of light exposure.
