Fumigant

A chemical substance that, at a sufficient concentration and temperature, can exist as a gas and is used to kill pests, such as insects, nematodes, or fungi. These agents penetrate cracks, crevices, and commodities to reach target organisms. Common examples include methyl bromide and phosphine, which are regulated for their application and safety.
