Cytotoxin

A substance that has a toxic effect on cells, leading to their damage or death. These can be produced by biological organisms, such as bacteria or snakes, or synthesized chemically. Many chemotherapeutic agents are classified as cytotoxins due to their ability to kill cancer cells.
