Hartree
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005112
The unit of energy in the Hartree atomic units system, also known as the hartree energy. It is defined as twice the ionization energy of a hydrogen atom in its ground state, assuming an infinitely heavy nucleus. One hartree is equal to approximately 4.359 x 10⁻¹⁸ joules or 27.211 electronvolts.
