Hot cell

A heavily shielded enclosure designed to safely handle and manipulate highly radioactive materials, protecting personnel from ionizing radiation. These cells are equipped with remote manipulators or robotic arms that allow operators to perform tasks from outside the shielded area. They are essential facilities in nuclear research, nuclear medicine, and radioactive waste management.
