Hutchinsonian niche
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005434
A conceptual framework that defines a species' niche as an n-dimensional hypervolume, where each dimension represents an environmental condition or resource. This mathematical model describes the set of all environmental conditions under which a species can persist. It distinguishes between the fundamental niche, representing all potential conditions, and the realized niche, reflecting actual conditions after interspecific interactions.
