Competitive exclusion

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002309

A principle in ecology stating that two species competing for the same limited resources cannot coexist indefinitely in the same niche. One species will eventually outcompete the other, leading to the elimination or displacement of the less successful competitor. This ecological interaction drives species diversification and resource partitioning in ecosystems.
