Distribution constant (exclusion)
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003343
A parameter in size-exclusion chromatography that quantifies the extent to which a solute can penetrate the pores of the stationary phase. It represents the fraction of the intraparticle volume that is accessible to the solute molecules. A value of 0 indicates complete exclusion, while a value of 1 signifies full access to the pore volume.
