Restricted-access sorbent
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010275
A type of chromatographic sorbent designed to allow small molecules to access the stationary phase while excluding larger molecules, such as proteins, from entering the pores. This enables direct injection of biological samples without extensive protein precipitation. The exclusion is based on size and sometimes hydrophobicity.
