Relative molecular-mass exclusion limit

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010152

The maximum molecular mass of a solute that can penetrate the pores of a chromatographic stationary phase in size-exclusion chromatography. Molecules with molecular masses above this limit are completely excluded from the pores and elute first. This parameter defines the effective separation range of a size-exclusion column.
