Permeation chromatography
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008671
A chromatographic technique that separates molecules based on their size as they pass through a porous stationary phase. Smaller molecules can penetrate more pores and thus have a longer path, eluting later, while larger molecules are excluded from most pores and elute earlier. This method is also known as size exclusion chromatography or gel permeation chromatography, and is widely used for polymer characterization.
