Permeation tube

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008672

A device used to generate a constant, low concentration of a gas or vapor by permeation through a polymeric membrane. The permeation rate is dependent on temperature, the material of the tube, and the vapor pressure of the substance inside. These tubes are used for calibrating analytical instruments and preparing gas standards.
