Realised niche
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009995
The actual set of environmental conditions and resources under which a species persists in the presence of competitors, predators, and other biotic interactions. This is a subset of the fundamental niche, which represents the full range of conditions a species could potentially occupy without such interactions. The realised niche is often smaller and more constrained than the fundamental niche due to ecological pressures.
